Atalis, the pretty little nudist beach!
The small beach of Talis or Atalis is a very small beach, a continuation of Son Bou and separated from it by some rocks. It is a beach frequented or known for being a nudist beach, but it is not very popular. Nudism in Minorca... is a symbol of freedom and respect with many years of history. With white sand and turquoise sea bottom (as it cannot be otherwise in the south of Menorca), the only drawback it may have is that it is very exposed to the south winds.
It is a beach without any kind of services and located between Son Bou and Santo Tomás. It does not have any kind of shade, so we must be prepared with water, food and something to provide us with a bit of shade. This small beach is not very recommendable for anchoring as it is a very exposed beach and is part of Son Bou. This also favours bathers because they can enjoy greater privacy.
It can be accessed from Son Bou, whose more limited parking area means that you have to cross the whole beach, which is about 2 kms of sand (exhausting if you don't walk along the shore) or from Santo Tomás, where at the end of the urbanisation it is easier to park and following the Cami de Cavalls towards Son Bou you have to walk for about 1 km.
If you come to Ca s'Arader, we will be happy to show you how to get to this small beach with crystal clear waters!

Ca s’Arader is named after Menorca’s artisan carpenters that used the wood from the indigenous wild olive tree to make all kinds of farming tools. In the olden days it was an essential role for the islands economy that was passed on from fathers to sons. Today, the few artisan carpenters or araders that are left, mostly make gates, tables, benches or stalls amongst other items.
