THE ARENAL D'EN MORO, A BEAUTIFUL BEACH THAT DOES'NT LIVE IN MENORCA, IT LIVES IN THE FRONT!

The Arenal d’en Moro, a beautiful beach that doesn't live in Menorca, it lives in front!

The Arenal d’en Moro, is a beach located in front of the island of Menorca, specifically on the island of en Colom. This islet, of approximately 60 hectares, in front of the village of es Grau, is the largest of the islets surrounding Menorca.

This islet has no services and can only be visited by boat or kayak (something very common and worthwhile due to its beauty). If you decide to visit this peculiar islet, we recommend that you bring water, food and shade, as there is absolutely nothing in this paradisiacal place.

Protected from the waves, especially from the north, it is a beach of fine sand and crystalline waters. A paradisiacal beach that, like so many others, forms part of the ANEI (Natural Area of Special Interest) of the Albufera de Es Grau. If you decide to go a little further into the island, you will be able to see a native lizard (it only lives on the islets of Menorca), with a blackish colour that looks like tar. They usually lie in the sun and often do not hide in the presence of humans. We ask for respect for this species because they are in their own territory and we are the foreigners on their island.

You can rent a kayak on the beach des Grau to visit this paradisiacal place. Come to Ca s'Arader and we will tell you more about this mythical place that has its own particular history!

S'ARADER

Ca s’Arader is named after Menorca’s artisan carpenters that used the wood from the indigenous wild olive tree to make all kinds of farming tools. In the olden days it was an essential role for the islands economy that was passed on from fathers to sons. Today, the few artisan carpenters or araders that are left, mostly make gates, tables, benches or stalls amongst other items.
